On one hand I wanted to stay in college, and perhaps do a project in the meantime, while on the other I wanted to go home for the summers, as summers in Kanpur get quite hot, maybe do an online intern somewhere, swim in the afternoons, and prepare in a more relaxed environment. After much deliberation and discussing with seniors, I ultimately decided to go home for the summers.

A little about me: Initially admitted to the MSE branch, I switched to Chemical Engineering after my first year. As I began to do well in my core courses, my interest shifted towards TechnoManagerial/Core roles. Alongside my studies, I worked under a professor on a project involving the study and simulation of granular particles. To enhance my skill set, I undertook projects with CHEMINEERS and STAMATICS to learn basic machine learning and completed an online course. Journey: I began my proper intern preparation in May ’23, knowing it was quite late. I had initially planned to start at the beginning of my 4th semester but got sidetracked by Inter-IIT, FAC Coordinator recruitments, and EE academics.
